Despite all the new releases, Namie's new single charted at #1 this week! This is huge in that she has not had a single at #1 since the release of "I HAVE NEVER SEEN" back in late 1998! This also makes the single her 10th single to reach the #1 spot!

Also, on April 5th, Namie will appear on Music Fair, where she will perform all three songs from her new single!

Here's Namie's recent performance of "WHAT A FEELING" on MUSIC STATION!

News: Triple A-Side SINGLE!!!
Posted By Shinigami Niko
Date: January 17, 2008

Sources have officially confirmed that Namie's new single will be a triple a-side! The first song "New Look" is a 60's pop-like song that samples Supreme's famous song "Baby Love". The second song "Rock Steady" features 70's dance music, and samples Aretha Franklin's "Rock Steady". The last song "Flash Dance" has yet to air on a commercial, but will be an 80's themed song, while sampling Irene Cara's "What a Feeling". Each song will feature its own respective PV, which use the exact same set from the commercials!

Sources also suggest that this single has been in the making since June of last year, which means this has gone under way for over eight months now! This is surely the a Namie single that no one will want to miss!

News: namie amuro PLAY Tour 2007 Start!
Posted By Shinigami Niko
Date: August 18, 2007

Namie started her new tour in Japan the other day! (Actually, it was today at night...) Anyway, here's a description of how the tour went: "Chase the Chance" had a new arrangement and this time she performed the "Breeze House Mix" of "Say the word" instead of the "LOVE ENHANCED" version. On 2ch, someone compared the choreography for "Full Moon" to "toi et moi" from her "SO CRAZY tour" and stated it was very cool. For "DARLING" the set is turned into a bar called "Show girl" starting with the girls dancing on the upper stage and a sole male dancer in the lower half. The choreography ends with all male dancers and is a very sexy routine. During "Luvotomy" male dancers are on the upper portion of the stage taking pictures of Namie and her dancers on the lower stage in the setting of a fashion show. "Should I Love Him?" is performed with choreography in the same manner as "exist for you" from the last tour. "GIRL TALK" begins with an English voiceover about finding a boyfriend. During the performance her and her female dancers perform while searching the stage for a boyfriend once he is found the song returns to its original choreography. "Chase the Chance" had new choreography sort of like "STROBE." Following it comes a "GOLDEN EGGS" collaboration with a skit from Amura. She goes to the hospital complaining that she hasn't slept and that she hasn't eaten. The doctor proclaims that it is love. It kick starts into "CAN'T SLEEP, CAN'T EAT, I'M SICK." "Violet Sauce" had the same choreography as the last tour. Lastly, according to the poster the choreography for "Top Secret" involved Namie in the center acting as sort of the needle of a clock.

Songs such as "FUNKY TOWN," "Hell
o" and "Hide & Seek" kept their original choreography. "Pink Key," "butterfly," "Baby Don't Cry" and "RESPECT the POWER OF LOVE" had no choreography.
